Tempesta
“Tempesta” brings together seven international artists working across sculpture and installation. Conceived as a major summer exhibition, it foregrounds distinct practices that actively shape and reconfigure the space. Works unfold as spatial propositions, occasionally extending into video and object-based forms.
Developed for the Fondation Fernet-Branca’s industrial, pared-down architecture, the exhibition presents newly commissioned works alongside pieces adapted specifically to the site.
Featuring Julius von Bismarck, Josh Kline, Jos Näpflin, Tenant of Culture, Vittorio Santoro, Andreas Waldmeier, and Annie Wan Lai-kuen, “Tempesta” creates environments that shift how we look and move. Familiar readings break down. New relations emerge.
Amid increasingly fragmented media landscapes and intensified political divisions, the exhibition resists fixed positions. Instead, it asks for sustained attention: to stay with what is unstable, to question one’s footing, and to remain open to contradiction.

Aurora Király. Practices of Looking
With Aurora Király. Practices of Looking, the Fondation Fernet-Branca presents the first institutional solo exhibition by Aurora Király (1970) in France. For more than thirty years, the Bucharest-based visual artist has explored the relationship between image, memory, and the social construction of perception. An important voice within Central and Eastern European contemporary art, she brings forward stories that have often remained marginal, particularly those connected to women's labor and embodied experiences.
Conceived specifically for the Fondation’s former distillery spaces, the exhibition unfolds as a journey through the layered worlds of industry, domestic architectures, and social structures, and the ways they inscribe themselves onto female bodies.
