With Olga Osadtschy (Fondation Fernet-Branca) and Dr Sandra Beate Reimann (Museum Tinguely, Basel)
Explore the exhibition Aurora Király. Practices of Looking with Olga Osadtschy, co-curator of the exhibition, and Dr Sandra Beate Reimann, curator at Museum Tinguely. In conversation, they will guide you through the works and share their perspectives on the artist’s practice and on this remarkable exhibition, Aurora Király’s first institutional exhibition in France.
A dialogue across the border: at Museum Tinguely, Labouring Bodies, curated by Sandra Beate Reimann, examines the relationship between body, labour and technology from a feminist perspective, bringing to light the bodies that have remained invisible in the grand narratives of industrial progress. Aurora Király is represented there with an installation. In Saint-Louis, the artist takes this inquiry further, drawing on the archives of textile factories in Mulhouse, Reșița and Liestal to bring women’s work back into view. Labouring Bodies is on view until 8 November, the day after the tour, so both exhibitions can be seen on the same weekend.
A rare opportunity to gain insight into the ideas behind the exhibition and its making, and to weave connections between two institutions on either side of the border.
Dr. Sandra Beate Reimann is a curator at Museum Tinguely in Basel, where she has curated exhibitions including Stephen Cripps. Performing Machines (2017), Rebecca Horn. Body Fantasies (2019), Territories of Waste (2022), and most recently the thematic group exhibition Labouring Bodies (2026). In her research and publications, she focuses on sculpture and installation in the second half of the twentieth century. She is vice president of Rebecca Horn’s Moontower Foundation.
