A word from the artist:

“Dear friends, during my visits to the exhibition at the Fondation Fernet-Branca, I often meet visitors who are surprised by my technique. On the second floor, I have the chance to speak about Waydelich’s tire and jerrycan—two objects that never fail to astonish when people realize they are made entirely of ceramic!

Naturally, this raises many questions—chief among them: How does the artist achieve this?  These two pieces differ greatly in both intention and execution. That contrast inspired me to propose a discussion: “The Technique of Art or the Art of Techniques”, a dialogue between Germain Roesz and myself.
