Thursday evening, the Fondation Fernet-Branca opened the doors of its new exhibition, Tempesta, welcomed by a large and enthusiastic crowd for this inaugural moment.
Conceived by the Foundation's artistic director Olga Osadtschy and guest curator Daniel Kurjaković, Tempesta brings together works by seven major contemporary artists: Julius von Bismarck, Josh Kline, Jos Näpflin, Vittorio Santoro, Tenant of Culture, Andreas Waldmeier and Annie Wan Lai-kuen. Through installations, sculptures and objects of great formal precision, the exhibition offers a sensory and engaged reflection on our present — its crises, its fractures, but also its invisible connections.
The exhibition route, conceived as a rite of passage, invites visitors to move through distinct spaces, each with its own logic and atmosphere. Along the way, one is invited to pause, to listen, to look differently — an experience that the opening night audience seemed to embrace with curiosity and enthusiasm.
For younger visitors, the children's workshop running alongside proved to be one of the evening's highlights: a joyful, participatory moment of creation that clearly delighted children and adults alike.
A successful first evening, setting the tone for the weeks ahead. Tempesta is now open to the public — we look forward to welcoming you.
